Do you find it tough to relax? Maybe you are not sure how to. If so, you are not alone. According to a survey conducted by the American Psychological Association, 42% of adults reported they are either not doing enough or are not sure if they are doing enough to cope with stress. And 20% described not engaging in any activity to help reduce stress.
So, what can you do?
I was interviewed by Krissy Brady for an article in Cosmopolitan Magazine entitled Why Is It So Hard to De-Stress? In it, we talk about the importance of finding the right stress management tool for you. If taking a warm bath or sitting by the fire actually makes you more stressed, don’t fret about it. You may find going for a walk, cooking or playing with a paint set more restorative.
And, as I shared with Krissy, “”Restorative activities aren’t luxuries but necessities. They are as important for your health as diet and exercise are and shouldn’t be treated as something to squeeze in when you can.”
