Is it OK to let your kids quit a sport or instrument?


The term “quitter” does not have a lot of positive connotations. In fact, it is a pretty negative label… usually.

Is it ever OK to “quit”? How about for your children?

While qualities like perseverance, tenacity and grit are certainly vital to success, sometimes not doing something can also be a positive.

In an interview on Good Morning America, I chatted with George Stephanopoulos and Amy Robach about why it might be beneficial to let your kids quit activities.

I also shared a great skill to teach your children.
